A member who is also a Veterinarian offered to address other member’s questions, as needed.

Q: what’s required to get an Rx to treat AFB? A: Vet will want to know about the operation (may want to see it). Hesitant to prescribe antibiotics for hobbyist beekeepers. If you think you’re going to need antibiotics, develop a relationship with your Vet.

Member asked questions about mite treatments: oxalic versus formic acid. Members shared their perspectives.

Member asked about a community extraction day. Advised that members are free to organize it with their own extractor, but the club will not sponsor this activity due to the risk of disease.

Calvin moved to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 2031.
